Meghan Markle was a minor US celebrity before her relationship with Prince Harry. However, the LA-born actress had many passions, including politics and running her own lifestyle website. Now an author has claimed Ivanka Trump was one of her ‘idols’. But, the actress has been vocal about her dislike of Ivanka’s father, Donald Trump.

Meghan told InStyle in 2015: “I love Ivanka Trump.
“I love what she’s done with her company. I think she’s spectacular.”
Meghan listed Ivanka among a number of “girl bosses.”
In his book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess Andrew Morton said: “Before Donald Trump entered the race for the presidency, one of [Meghan’s] female idols was businesswoman Ivanka Trump, who had her own jewellery and clothing line.”
Ivanka is now employed as an advisor to her father at the White House. Prior to this the former-model created and ran her own brand, Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry.
However, Meghan Markle was vocal about her dislike of Donald Trump during his campaign to be President of the United States.
Meghan said Donald Trump, 72, was “misogynistic”.
