Nightflyers is on its way to Netflix and a release date has now been announced.
While George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones has taken over TV screens for high fantasy fans, it looks like Nightflyers could do the same for science-fiction fans.
The intergalactic drama is due to arrive on Netflix on February 1 2019.
Martin’s new show originally aired on SyFy in 2018, and will debut on Netflix next month.
The synopsis for season one of the show reads: “Nightflyers follows eight maverick scientists and a powerful telepath who embark on an expedition to the edge of our solar system aboard The Nightflyer.
“A ship with a small tight knit crew and a reclusive captain, in the hope of making contact with alien life.
But when terrifying and violent events begin to take place they start to question each other - and surviving the journey proves harder than anyone thought.”
The show is spearheaded by Eoin Macken who plays leader of the Nightflyer expedition Karl D’Branin.
Eoin is best known for his role as Sir Dwaine in Merlin, and The Night Shift’s Dr. T. C. Callahan.
