Carol Kirkwood is used to being complimented and adored, as one of BBC Breakfast’s most popular presenters.
However, she was the one dishing out the compliments when she gushed about a Hollywood actor and singer in 2013.
When the weather reporter was asked who her TV crush was, she named David Soul, 75, as her favourite.
She said: “David Soul when he played Hutch in Starsky and Hutch.”
The 56-year-old TV personality was lucky enough to meet her idol in person during a television appearance.
“I was on The One Show once as a guest and met him,” she told Radio Times.
Also, the broadcaster admitted she was left starstruck by Bryan Adams, a Canadian singer and songwriter.
“I love him,” she swooned. “He was a guest on [BBC] Breakfast and I wanted to say hello, but I couldn’t pluck up the courage.”
She recounted: “Eventually I did, but I was so nervous I could hardly speak. He was so lovely as well."
The radio presenter also has a soft spot for actor Jeremy Piven, who plays Harry Jeremy Selfridge in the ITV drama
