Moira (played by Natalie J. Robb) has supported her husband Cain (Jeff Hordley) throughout his guilty secret on Emmerdale, until tonight.
The ITV soap recently put in motion a plot line that could ultimately tear apart the Dingle family for good, after village hard man Cain accidentally killed Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).
Angry at the news Joe had apparently left his daughter Debbie (Charley Webb) at the altar on their wedding day, Cain couldn’t resist teaching him a lesson when he unexpectedly returned to the village.
What was meant to be a punch ended up a fatal blow as Joe hit his head on a rock on the ground.
Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) was actually the one who disposed of the body, and fans are still convinced Joe is secretly alive after seeing his hands moved in the boot of the butler’s car.
But while the mystery remains, Cain lost control in painful scenes with his wife and Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) during tonight’s instalment.
Debbie was refusing to listen to either Cain or Moira’s side of the story, utterly devastated by the news her ex-fiance was dead.
