Season three of Riverdale has been the most complex yet, and plunged Archie (played by KJ Apa), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) into a deep hole of mystery and intrigue.
With deaths coming left, right and centre, and the group of teen sleuths no closer to figuring out exactly who the Gargoyle King is, this season’s mystery may have surpassed that of the Black Hood in season two.
But now fans may need to be worried about a returning character in this week’s episode - Archie’s dog Vegas.
The beloved mutt has dotted in and out of the series as the drama took centerstage, and he’s back to support his owner as he tackles his next challenge in the sinister town of Riverdale.
Creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa took to Twitter to share a brand new image of Archie with his pet pooch, and it came with a rather worrying caption.
The writer posted: “Also on tomorrow night’s #Riverdale, the return of fan favourite VEGAS!!!!
“Who will protect his beloved Archie for ANYTHING…”
