#BBCBreakfast's Carol Kirkwood idolises #DancingOnIce's Phillip Schofield

Carol Kirkwood, 56, praised Phillip Schofield, also 56, on carving out a successful career in television.

The BBC Breakfast host, who has worked on the programme since 1998, said she admired the Dancing On Ice host’s work ethic.

When Radio Times asked her who had the ideal career, the broadcaster singled out the This Morning presenter.

Explaining why she chose the ITV regular, she said: “There’s the regular gig during the week, then he’s got The Cube, Mr & Mrs and all the big events, like the royal wedding.

“He’s got a pretty good career.”

During the interview in 2013, Carol also gushed about two other famous faces, the first being David Soul, a Hollywood actor and singer.

Revealing the 75-year-old as her TV crush, she said: “David Soul when he played Hutch in Starsky and Hutch.”

The TV personality was lucky enough to meet her idol in person during a television appearance.

“I was on The One Show once as a guest and met him,” she recounted.
