Cruises are a time for holidaymakers to let loose and enjoy themselves but two passengers had an appalling start to their trip when a cruise ship worker let a little too loose himself. British couple Bobby, 64, and Mary Jackson, 62 were greeted with the sight of a man and woman having sex on the bed when they first entered their cabin on the 2,376-passenger Norwegian Jewel, bound from Singapore to Thailand. They claim crew later revealed the man was a member of staff on the ship but the woman's identity was not known. Mary described the incident as “extremely unpleasant,” telling The Sun: "We are not prudes but this was ridiculous."

The couple had paid £4,800 for the week-long trip - the first cruise the pair had ever taken.

The holiday had started badly even before they found the cruise worker in flagrante delicto, the couple claim.

They said they were forced to wait for two and a half hours in blazing heat on the quayside at Singapore’s Marina Bay before they boarded the boat.

Once they had finally boarded they found the key card didn’t work on the first attempt.

Finally, on the third try, the door opened - and they were greeted with the sight of the naked duo.

Mary told The Sun: "I could see the back of a man on the bed who was directly facing us and it was obvious he was in the middle of having sex with a woman… I was traumatised and I needed a glass of water."
