Bed and Breakfast restaurants often combine comfort and security with the prospect of a hearty start to the day, to get travellers set for a busy 24 hours of holiday antics. Those wanting to save their pennies for spending – rather than forking out on plush five star accommodation – often plump for the long-running hotel type as a cheaper option. But this doesn’t mean a compromise on style, comfort and quality. The world’s best B&B according to TripAdvisor's Travellers’ Choice awards for Hotels in 2019 has been granted to The 25 Boutique B&B in Torquay.
Guests often rave about the owners’ home made biscuits as well as the Elemis toiletries, free mini bar and “outstanding hospitality”.
At the time of writing, the seaside venue boasted 100 percent ‘Excellent’ feedback on the ratings website, with more than 500 customers having commented.
Andy & Julian Banner-Price, owners of The 25 Boutique B&B said: “We were absolutely thrilled to hear that The 25 has been named as the best B&B in the world.
"We love creating special and memorable experiences for our guests and receiving their excellent reviews makes our hard work truly rewarding.”
Bindon Bottom B&B in West Lulworth, Dorset comes in third place, while The Grange Bed and Breakfast in Fylingthorpe, North Yorkshire and Swallows Rest Bed & Breakfast in Brigstock, Northamptonshire celebrate fourth and fifth place respectively.
