Good Morning Britain aired once again this morning with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid at the helm.
And while they managed to get to work on time, Piers was eager to let viewers know about his disdain for last night’s National Television Awards.
Last night’s NTA ceremony saw Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly receive an award for best presenters for the 18th time in a row.
This award comes as Ant decided to step down from his TV commitments after a drink driving conviction early last year.
And Piers was not happy about Ant’s win as he announced early this morning: “It was Ant McPartlin’s speech that really cemented it for me.
“You mean, seriously, he hasn’t been on TV for a year. The only time he gets out of bed in the morning is to walk the dog!”
And it didn’t stop there, as later on Piers called the general public “gullible” after their decision to award Ant and Dec another award, claiming: “I’m still annoyed, I can’t lie. I’m still annoyed.”
He followed it up by adding: “You saw people win who barely worked last year!”
The presenter also revealed he wasn’t thrilled about losing the Best Daytime
