Bohemian Rhapsody: Brian May apologises after being accused of 'defending' ...

Singer had directed Bohemian Rhapsody until he was fired towards the end of the filming process. And this week, as the film continues to enjoy awards season success - including Oscars nominations - more allegations of sexual abuse have been raised against Singer. The film-maker has consistently denied any accusations of wrongdoing, but Bohemian Rhapsody’s Best Original Film nomination at the GLAAD Awards was revoked yesterday.

May came under fire when a follower on social media told him to unfollow Singer.

“You need to look after your own business and stop telling me what to do,” he replied, according to The Guardian.

“And you need to learn to respect the fact that a man or woman is innocent until proven guilty.”

Now, however, he was posted a lengthy apology to the fan who posted the original comment - saying he is “mortified”.
