What cold? The Queen braves BITTER temperatures with royals on Sandringham shoot

The Queen wrapped up warm as she stepped out on her Sandringham estate with a group including Princess Anne, her husband Tim Laurence and Formula One racing driver Jackie Stewart who is a family friend. The monarch carried a walking stick as she crossed the muddy fields during the shoot.

The 97-year-old kept the winter chill at bay with a long coat which she wore with her hood up and a headscarf underneath.

The Queen herself was not seen with a gun but she still appeared to enjoy the outing.

The shoot comes after the monarch visited the Sandringham branch of the Women’s Institute, which she joined in 1943.

Every year, the Queen visits WI members at West Newton village hall as part of her winter stay on her Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
