#Strictly star Debbie McGee reveals breast cancer operation in SHOCK diagnosis

Debbie McGee, 60, who was a finalist on Strictly Come Dancing 2017, has said she felt it was the loss of her husband and the stress it caused which triggered the disease. The Strictly star revealed the operation was a success but admitted the process did “scare” her. Debbie was reportedly diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in October and had the affected areas removed this month. Speaking to The Sun, Debbie said: “It scared me to death. “I’ve never been through the stress I’ve been through since I lost Paul. Grief hits you in so many ways you’re not expecting. It’s not all about sadness.”

Debbie was married to magician and television presenter Paul Daniels’ before he died of an incurable brain tumour in 2016.

Speaking about her diagnosis, the radio host revealed the mammograms “scared her to death.”

She told the publication: “Although I’ve had mammograms every two years I never thought for a minute I’d ever have it myself. It scared me to death.”

Debbie revealed she was concerned about what the doctors would find and what she would look like after the operations.
