Police were called to reports of an abandoned baby at 10.15pm. It was located in a Newham park by Roman Road and Saxon Road. Police attended along with the London Ambulance Service.

The baby has been taken to an east London hospital for treatment.
Authorities confirmed its condition is currently stable.
Appealing directly to the mother Inspector Shane Clarke of the North East Command Unit commented: “It is really important that we know that you are safe.
“I would also urge anyone who has information that could help us to reunite this baby with her mother to come forward."
