BBC Question Time: Question audience member makes fair comment (Image: BBC)
Aside from the usual Brexit debate, the panel tackled the problem of homelessness which is increasing across the nation. Tory MP Helen Whately outlined a series of initiatives which the Government is trying to enforce. Despite that, an audience member angrily responded by asking why so much money was being sent out to foreign countries rather than spending it at home.
He said: “We need to look after our own first.
“With regards to how we could fund that, we have the foreign aid issues.
“We send £46million to China, £51million to India both of which have space programmes - they don’t need that money.
“That could be put to good use in converting buildings to converting buildings into multiple occupancies for the homelessness.”
