This Christmas is not only the conclusion to the Star Wars prequel trilogy but also all nine episodes of the Skywalker saga. With this in mind and the fan backlash to The Last Jedi, surely director JJ Abrams will want to provide something really pleasing for fans. While Yoda’s Force ghost was a lovely surprise in The Last Jedi, could Hayden Christensen’s Anakin be back for Star Wars 9? It would certainly be a satisfying way to connect all three trilogies.
Now Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh has cited unnamed sources as saying Christensen is expected to appear.
In a , he said: “A couple of weeks ago we actually heard…they were in negotiations with bringing Hayden Christensen on board for Episode IX.
“Now what’s really interesting about this movie is they will be using pieces of dialogue of Hayden Christensen from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.”
Zeroh points out how Abrams, who directed The Force Awakens too, originally had plans for an Anakin Skywalker hybrid Force ghost, who was half Darth Vader.
