The Dingle family have been really suffering on Emmerdale recently, as Cain (played by Jeff Hordley) finally told his daughter Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) the truth about accidentally killing Joe (Ned Porteous).
Devastated by her father’s actions on the ITV soap, Debbie left Butlers’ Farm with her two children and banished her father from ever coming near her again.
Things got worse when Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) reported Cain to the police, worried for his mother Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J. Robb) safety.
Charity (Emma Atkins) then found out everything from Debbie, and struggled to figure out which side she was on.
Eventually, the pub landlord declared she would stand by her daughter no matter what she chooses, be that reporting Cain for manslaughter or deciding to move on with her life and her grief.
But in the middle of the drama, newly-engaged Vanessa will also learn the truth soon, and it could end up in betrayal.
If the vet finds out what Cain’s done, her moral compass could push her to take matters into her own hands, regardless of what Charity and Debbie have decided.
In a recent interview with Express.co.uk, actress Michelle teased the future of Vanessa and Charity’s relationship in the Yorkshire Dales.
She shared: “The next obvious step would be a wedding but we don’t know, I’ve not been told when it is or if it’s in the sort of near future.
“It would be nice to do a few little hurdles thrown in the way,” the star teased.
