Queen forced to sleep on sofa in SERVANTS’ QUARTERS after royal ROW

The monarch was staying at the Palace of Holyroodhouse - her royal residence in Edinburgh - when she turned up in the servants’ quarters in her nightie. One of Her Majesty’s favourite dressers, Peggy Hoath, kept the Queen awake after getting in a late-night row with another royal aide who she had a “friendly rivalry” with. The extraordinary story was affectionately revealed for the first time at Peggy’s funeral last month at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor Great Park, after she died in December at the age of 89.
