Standing backstage with her professional partner Mark Hanretty, 33, following their routine, she told fans: “We need your votes. In the caption, she wrote: “Please please please vote for @markhanretty and I tonight on @dancingonice.
“We think we should be caring and give someone else a go at the skate off tonight — it’s only fair — we don’t want to be greedy,” the Loose Women star joked.
On the night, she scored an impressive 24 points from the judges for her emotional performance to Bonny Tyler’s Total Eclipse of the Heart.
After their skate, Mark praised: “Three months ago, she could barely stand up unaided on ice at all. So, a testament to her hard work.”
Jayne Torvill, 61, commended Saira for taking the judges’ previous critiques on board, while Christopher Dean, 60, said: “The step sequence is one of the cleanest anyone’s done tonight.”
