Paddy (played by Dominic Brunt) will take a trip to the Northern Ireland capital city of Belfast later this year on Emmerdale as he tries to track down his birth father.
On her return to the ITV soap in a short stint earlier this year, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) dropped the bombshell about Paddy’s real father, sending the vet into turmoil about his past.
The vet is persuaded to go on a trip to Belfast after his partner Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and best friend Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) tell him his father could be a wrestler called Bear Wolf, who is to take part in a convention in the city.
Accompanying Paddy will be Marlon as well as his newly wedded wife Jessie Grant (Sandra Marvin) and the unlikeliest of characters, Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) who tags along with the group.
Whereas Marlon and Jessie are treating the visit to Belfast as their belated honeymoon, Kerry will have motives of her own for joining the trio as she reunites with her daughter Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson).
Amy was seen fleeing to Belfast in 2013 after she tried to kidnap her son Kyle, who she gave up for adoption having had a brief fling with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
However, the reunion may not be as magical as she hoped and with her partner Daz Spencer (Liam Fox) Kerry could be looking to find a distraction.
If Paddy’s dreams are also crushed after discovering who his father really is, could the two be temped into each other’s arms?
With Marlon and Jessie loved up, Paddy and Kerry could find themselves spending a lot of time together, but will they take the opportunity to cheat on their other halves?
