The light aircraft, carrying Mr Sala and pilot David Ibbotson, went down on January 21. Mr Sala, an Argentine footballer, had just signed for Cardiff City and was travelling to the city. Investigators are using specialist machinery in a bid to recover any bodies.
A remotely operated vehicle (ROV) has already scanned the crash site and detected one body.
The identity of the body which has been spotted is currently unknown.
The investigation is being led by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB).
They have confirmed they plan to send the ROV down again, to work out how many bodies can be brought to the surface.
An AAIB spokesman commented: “We are attempting to recover the body.
