Michael Douglas said he “had to laugh” when daughter Carys Douglas spoke to him about a date with an older boy. The Hollywood legend said she was a “good” child - his only daughter with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones - as he spoke candidly about his family, including their eldest Dylan, 18, and son with ex wife Diandra Luker, Cameron, 40. The 74-year-old said all three of his offspring were keen to follow in his footsteps, which he branded “special”. He famously went into acting just like his father Kirk, 102, who starred in the likes of Spartacus and Lust For Life.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Michael commented: “Dylan and Carys have been great students.
“Dylan is off to college now and Carys has a big career ahead of her. She’s a wonderful singer, plays the piano and is very pretty.”
He then stated: “I think you might be hearing from her sooner than you expected.”
