The last viewers saw of the ITV programme was the 2017 Christmas special, so they’ve had a long wait.
But Director of Programmes at ITV, Kevin Lygo has revealed an approximate date on when season three of Victoria will air.
He told Radio Times that the new instalment would air “in the spring or summer” after unforeseen delays.
Kevin explained how numerous elements influenced the later air date but that scheduling had a big part to play.
He told the publication: “We have to get it right and put it up against the right things on the BBC and elsewhere.”
It comes as Poldark is set to air on BBC One this summer, so Victoria could possibly be up against it in the ratings.
Poldark and Victoria are both made by the production company Mammoth Screen.
The third series may not have begun in the UK, but it has already starting airing on PBS’ Masterpiece in the US.
Although, some UK fans weren’t very happy that the British series would be available before they could watch it.
