Jenny (played by Sally Ann Matthews) was due to stand up in court on charges for running Coronation Street legend Liz (Beverly Callard) over.
However, Liz, who was a witness in the trial, was nowhere to be found when the trial was meant to start.
The authorities searched for her but it was eventually discovered that she was on a flight to Spain after a stern talking to from Rita Tnner (Barbara Knox).
The truth came out after Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) accused Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) of kidnapping his mother on the ITV soap.
While he was giving Gemma a massive telling off, his phone rang.
“Hi son, it’s me,” Liz told Steve as viewers could see Liz sitting on a plane.
“Where are you?” Steve questioned before Liz confirmed she was waiting to jet off.
He continued: “You’re supposed to be in court.”
But Liz explained: “I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t let Johnny and Jenny get sent down.
“Rita had a word with me, well, quite a few actually. She just made me see what a mess it all is.”
Steve asked: “So Gemma didn’t kidnap you then?”
