Britons have been cautioned as a barrel of low pressure set to strike overnight will bring blustery winds to the UK on Friday and Saturday.

The weather system, coming off of the Atlantic tomorrow, is going to be a deep low and the isobars will be packed closely together.

As a result, the winds will be a dominant factor for the weather on Friday and Saturday and could cause disruptions to travel in parts of the UK.

In fact, the risk of disruptions is expected to be widespread from midday Friday through to Saturday.
