Stuart Highway in unexpected new twist on #EastEnders with Mick Carter? #BBC

Stuart’s (played by Ricky Champ) actions against the Carter family were unforgivable, and culminated with him framing Mick (Danny Dyer) for shooting him, as the EastEnders character faced a devastating prison sentence.

Mick quickly spiralled being locked up inside four walls, and his mental health took a nosedive on the BBC soap.

And all the while Linda (Kellie Bright) began her own secret plot to get Stuart to confess to his actions, which saw her using her sexuality in some tense scenes between the two.

Now Mick has been released, things have calmed down in Albert Square for the time being, but what’s next?

Actor Ricky has teased Stuart might even end up becoming a good character on the BBC soap, as he takes a new direction in his life.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk recently, the star revealed he hopes Stuart’s recent behaviour will inspire some “empathy”.

“Hopefully it’ll go some way to inspiring some empathy towards him,” the actor mused.
