Meghan has recently been pictured holding her thumbs in a curved backwards position. And the Duchess’s bendy thumbs could be a clue that her royal baby will arrive before her due date at the end of April, according to Liz Halliday, deputy head of midwifery at Private Midwives.
Ms Halliday explained that increased mobility in Meghan's hand could suggest she has Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder.
The condition means a person’s joints are more flexible and if it extends towards the pelvis this could lead to an earlier birth.
Ms Halliday told the Daily Mail: “Photographs taken of the Duchess of Sussex's hands may suggest that she has some level of hypermobility in her thumbs.
“If Meghan has a Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder and her cervix and pelvis are affected, she could potentially have a slightly increased chance of labouring prematurely or having a precipitous labour.”
