Yesterday on the ITV soap, viewers saw Manpreet’s (played by Rebecca Sarker) car being taken away as a result of her mounting debt.
Jai (Chris Bisson) stumbled upon the scene and Manpreet told him what had been going on, but urged him to keep quiet.
Manpreet is currently in a relationship with Jai’s dad Rishi (Bhaskar Patel) who does not know what his girlfriend has been struggling to cope with on Emmerdale.
But tonight’s instalment of Emmerdale saw Jai take Manpreet to get some real help.
The two of them sloped off to a meeting for shopping addicts and it’s clear they are growing closer.
But could this lead to a love affair between Jai and Manpreet?
Some viewers certainly seem to think all the signs are pointing to an upcoming romantic entanglement.
Fans took to Twitter after the scenes aired to speculate on what could happen.
