Rachel Riley had a hard time getting her head around the discussion surrounding her marital status and former husband Jamie Gilbert. The 33-year-old presenter was inundated with tweets on Thursday about her relationship with Jamie, who she divorced after a year of marriage in 2013. One of the messages read: “We have reached peak insanity from the @jeremycorbyn fans. We (all four of us) are married to @RachelRileyRR. “We think the way this is worded comes across as a threat, what do you think? ‘Should have a bit of concrete soon’.”

Responding to the post in view of her 623,000 Twitter followers, the Countdown stunner replied: “I’m so confused… apparently I’m married to four antisemitism campaigners @GnasherJew who are funded by my BFF Jacob Rees-Mogg.”
“My ex-husband is now Jewish and a probable Tory donor? Hope Pasha doesn’t find out,” she added, followed by a laughing face emoji.
Rachel has been in a relationship with Strictly Come Dancing professional Pasha, 39, since 2014.
The couple met in 2013 when they were partnered together on the BBC contest for series 11.
Rachel, who fronts Channel 4’s quiz show Countdown alongside host Nick Hewer, recently spoke about her future on the programme.
