GMB host Piers Morgan lambasted MEP Guy Verhofstadt after he added another inflammatory comment following Donald Tusk’s initial claim that he wondered about what the “special place in hell” would look like for Brexiteers who promoted Brexit with no plan. The European Council President said in a speech and then later Tweeted: "I’ve been wondering what that special place in hell looks like, for those who promoted Brexit without even a sketch of a plan how to carry it out safely." Adding to the inflammatory comment, MEP Guy Verhofstadt later replied: “Well, I doubt Lucifer would welcome them.
“After what they did to Britain, they would even manage to divide hell.”
Good Morning Britain host Mr Morgan delivered a sharp reply to the comment. He Tweeted: “You keep laughing at us, you clowns.
“All it will do is harden the British people’s resolve to hard Brexit.
“Even Remainers like me find this devil/hell rhetoric appalling.”
