Coronation street viewers will be seeing the return of a villain set to take over Weatherfield in upcoming scenes.
Rick Neelan (played by Greg Wood) terrorised Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox) some time ago on the ITV soap.
The loan shark took over the lives of some residents when he dedicated his time to picking up some loans from the locals.
This ordeal prompted Rick to kidnap Rita after she took a bag of drugs which he had previously acquired.
Although she eventually got away from the horrible man, she may be set for another bout of trouble.
In a new image of Rick’s return, the loan shark can be seen getting out of a car and scowling towards the camera.
With Rick back on the scene at least one Weatherfield resident is in some sort of financial trouble.
Rita has been burned by the criminal’s antics before, but could she fall into a situation where she requires his assistance once again?
Or has Rita learned her lesson from her first encounter with Rick?
