Conservative MP for Wokingham, Sir John Redwood, explained the “perfect outcome” of Brexit, which was still an option open to the Prime Minister. The Brexiteer suggested his plan would win over “moderate” remain supporters and have the backing of leave voters. Speaking on talkRADIO, he said: “I don’t think Mr Tusk had me in mind because he said the kind of Brexiteers he was criticising was those who have never had a plan on how to do it.
“I have always had a plan on how to do it, I set out very clear plans before the referendum and my plan now is that we should table a comprehensive free trade agreement.
“We should leave automatically on March 29 in accordance with the law we have now passed.
“If the EU would just say, then they will discuss a free trade agreement.
“We do not need to impose any tariffs or new barriers on our trade with the EU.”
