Yesterday the 82-year-old actor died after a short illness and tributes have been pouring in for Oscar-nominated star. Finney’s final screen role was as Kincade in 50th anniversary James Bond movie Skyfall. Released in 2012, he starred opposite Craig in the film’s third act set in Scotland. Finney played the Bond family estate gamekeeper Kincade, who aided Bond and M in fighting back against Javier Bardem’s Silva.
Now Craig himself has paid tribute to his co-star, stating: “I’m deeply saddened by the news of Albert Finney's passing.
“The world has lost a giant. Wherever Albert is now, I hope there are horses and good company.”
The horses were a reference to Finney’s great love of horse racing.
