David was the pilot of the plane transporting Cardiff City’s Emiliano Sala which crashed near Guernsey on January 21.
While the footballer’s body was recovered from the wreck on the seabed, David has not yet been found.
Subsequently, his family have set up a fundraising campaign to raise £300,000 to search the site again.
David’s wife Nora and daughter Danielle appeared on Good Morning Britain today to discuss the situation with Richard and Kate Garraway.

But some of Richard’s questions were slammed by viewers as they believed they weren’t appropriate to be directed at a family going through such a difficult time.
The 62-year-old asked the mother and daughter why it was so important to recover the body of someone who is lost.
Many of those watching at home took exception to the comment and took to Twitter to comment.
One vented: “Omg this #gmb interview is appalling! They are grieving for a man who hasn’t been recovered & you’re asking why it’s important he’s found? Asking if he was really rusty- this is really awful.”
