WATCH: Prince William gets LOST at the @BAFTA awards

Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge received an enthusiastic welcome when they attended the 2019 BAFTA Awards ceremony inside the Royal Albert Hall last night. But moments after the ceremony ended, the Duke of Cambridge appeared to have lost his whereabouts as a helper had to grab his arm and lead him in the right direction.

During the ceremony, the Prince presented the BAFTA’s most prestigious award, the Fellowship, to veteran American film editor Thelma Schoonmaker.

Presenting the award, he commented: “Her work has produced some of the most memorable moments in cinema.”

The Royal couple were greeted at the venue entrance by BAFTA chief executive Craig Hassall.

As they entered, the audience took to their feet and remained silent until the Duke and Duchess had taken their seats in the front row.

During an address Prince William also praised the work BAFTA undertakes to develop actors, commenting: “Tonight’s nominees are a true testament to BAFTA’s dedication to funding and supporting that talent.”
