Gemma Collins, 37, was a contestant on the ITV series Dancing On Ice 2019, but was booted off the show on Sunday in a unanimous decision by the four judges. Now the TOWIE star has opened up about her past fertility struggles, and admitted she appeared on the show in order to kick-start her weight loss plan, after she was previously told she needed to lose weight in order to have children. Gemma - who lost two and a half stone during the series - was told she'd struggle to ever conceive with boyfriend James 'Arg' Argent, 31, unless she took drastic action. Speaking on Loose Women yesterday, she said: "I was told I needed to lose weight [to have children] so that's why I decided to do the show to better myself in the long term.
“I’ve definitely struggled with it because a lot of my friends on the show have gone on to have a baby and people would say to me, 'When are you going to have one?' I was told I would struggle to conceive.
“Obviously, I did have a few problems and did feel not fully whole. Like as a woman because it was like, ‘Oh my God I can’t have children, people are going to look down on me.’”
However, Gemma said: “Then I got two second opinions and they said everything is going to be OK."
