Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might be expecting twins, according to the latest odds.

The chances of two royal babies at once has doubled, according to Betway.

Betway are seeing a big move on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry having twins.

The royal couple are now at just 5/1 from 10/1 to welcome a double act into the world.

The online bookmaker originally priced the chances of twins at 66/1, in line with the biological probability.

However, that figure came down to 10/1 at the start of 2019 and has since shortened again.

Will Meghan Markle twins be on the cards? The duchess is more likely to have two babies due to her age.

An older mother is more likely to have twins.

This is especially true if the mother is over 35-years-old.

According to the site: “The twinning rate of mothers over the age of 35 is 21.7 per 1000 maternities and becoming a mother after age 45 boosts your odds considerably to 56.7 per 1000!”

However, the chances of having twins generally is pretty low.

According to TwinsUK the chances of twins across the UK population is 1.5 per cent.

What the baby or babies will be named, according to gambling fans?

Alice and Victoria head the betting at 7/1, with James the leading boys’ names.

Betway’s Alan Alger said: “There were a few rumours circling around that Meghan Markle and Price Harry were expecting twins and we went 10/1 on it happening at the start of the year.

“However, we’ve seen plenty of support on the couple welcoming two new members to their family in recent days and have had to cut the price in half to 5/1 as a result.

“The betting suggests both babies might be girls, with Alice and Victoria top of the baby name market at 7/1.”
