During her stay with the terrorist group she gave birth to two children, both of whom have died. Ms Begum was one of three schoolgirls from the Bethnal Green Academy, in east London, who travelled together to Syria. Now all I want to do is come home to Britain. “I just want to come home to have my child. “I’ll do anything required just to be able to come home and live quietly with my child.” The former ISIS bride is currently living in a refugee camp, having fled an assault on the group in eastern Syria two weeks ago. However Ms Begum is unrepentant about travelling to join ISIS. She said “I don’t regret coming here” adding she was “weak” to have abandoned the group before the final SDF assault. Ms Begum acknowledged the brutality of life under ISIS saying: “When I saw my first severed head it didn’t faze me at all.” However she added that ISIS “don’t deserve victory” as a result of the group's corruption and brutality. Of the other two girls who travelled to Syria from Bethnal Green one, Kadiza Sultana, is believed to have been killed in a 2016 airstrike. The other, Amira Abase, is believed to have been in Baghuz with Ms Begum. Her current condition is unknown.
