Holidaymakers often consider the safety of both a destination country, and particular accommodation, when choosing their vacation spot. This with families will no doubt be extra stringent on safety, particularly with youngsters in tow. Meanwhile, those travelling alone may also double check the crime rate of destinations, particularly if they are off the beaten track. Recently, the most dangerous destination for solo travellers came to light, yet new statistics now show the most threatening European holiday hotspot for all those contemplating a vacation.
The most dangerous destination was deemed to be Krakow, one of the oldest cities in Poland.
It polled a score of zero, which the firm classed as meaning ‘extremely dangerous”, with a score of 100 deemed to be SafeAround’s most trouble free location.
It drew on crime statistics, including incidents such as muggings, terrorist attacks and wars to determine the outcome.
It also incorporated the city’s road death toll to add to the results.
