#DeathinParadise viewers heartbroken by Florence Cassell exit - 'Don't leave'

Florence (played by Josephine Jobert) faced a near death experience at the beginning of tonight’s second part of one of the darkest storylines viewers have witnessed on Death in Paradise.

After she was shot at the end of last week’s episode of the BBC detective drama, Florence was left fighting for her life but was soon rescued by her trusty team lead by DI Jack Mooney (Ardal O'Hanlon).

However, the fate of her fiancé Patrice Campbell (Leemore Marrett Jr) was revealed in the opening moments as he had succumbed to his injuries he had been subjected to by killer Frances Compton (Saskia Reeves).

With Frances exposed as the mastermind behind the shooting, Florence arrested the killer before making a tearful admission to Jack.
