Britain will be several degrees warmer than it usually is at this time of year. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-teens Celsius. By contrast temperatures in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, are expected to peak at seven degrees.

However early morning will be relatively cold, thanks to clear skies overnight.
Meteorologist Alex Burkill explained: “It’s a chilly start for many on Friday morning with patches of fog to watch out for across southern areas.
“Once these clear through for most it is going to be another sunny day.”
Scotland will see a brisk wind early this morning, that will stop mist and fog developing.
