Fan site Watchers On the Wall reported that a full cast list for the first episode of the new series of Game of Thrones has been released.
But the inclusion of one of the names could hint toward the fate of one beloved character on the HBO fantasy epic.
Tormund Giantsbane actor Kristofer Hivju’s name was in the mix and as fans know he suffered an uncertain end to season seven.
The wildling was atop The Wall when it was knocked down by the newly undead Viserion and the White Walkers.
He was with Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer) when the action went down and the actor’s name is also on the list.
As the two are mentioned, could it confirm that they have both safely survived the fall of The Wall?
Of course it may be said that they would be appearing as corpses, but considering the scale of The Wall and the height they would be falling from, it may be unlikely that their bodies would be visible.
With the series returning on April 14, viewers will have to find out for themselves.
Meanwhile, previs supervisor Michelle Blok who worked on the visual effects for the programme recently revealed a costume secret.
Back in series seven for the Frozen Lake scene, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) swooped in to pick up Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and the men that had gone Beyond the Wall to capture a wight.
