Brexit news: Ministers 'ready to quit Cabinet' claims Grieve

Remainer Mr Grieve then claimed his pro-Brussels faction even has the power to bring down the Government. He lashed out yesterday as Tory infighting over Europe deepened in the wake of the Prime Minister's defeat in the Commons over her Brexit plans on Thursday. Her allies said she remained determined to press on with her bid to wring concessions out of the EU despite the latest embarrassing parliamentary setback.

Mr Grieve claimed a group of pro-Brussels ministers had warned Mrs May of their readiness to walk out.

He said: "My understanding is that many of them have made representations directly to the Prime Minister indicating Heartfelt: their concern and telling the Prime Minister that if by the end of February there is no deal that has been got through the Commons, we ought to extend.

"If the Prime Minister refuses to do that, I think they face a very difficult choice, because unless we as a Parliament and as the House of Commons start to work together to take the necessary steps to prevent no-deal happening, no-deal could just occur.

"It could all be so chaotic, it might just happen by accident.
