Is YOUR #flybmi flight cancelled?

Flybmi has blamed Brexit uncertainty over its struggle to afford fuel and carbon costs. The airline has now cancelled all its flights and filed for administration. The company has ordered all its planes to return to the UK for the immediate wind-down of operations, according to the Mirror.

Flybmi crew who were scheduled to work on weekend "night-stops" have also reporedly been flown back to the UK and are now positioned on standby.

Earlier today, some passengers complained they weren't told a flight between Bristol and Munich was cancelled until they had travelled through security.

The firm has its headquarters at East Midlands Airport, but also has a number of bases across Britain and continental Europe as its fleet of 17 Embraer jets travel to Brussels, Leeds, Munich and Bristol .

Flybmi is owned by Airline Investments Limited, which hinted it will initiate wind-down plans if further funding was not secured, according to Aviation Analyst website.
