Former Countdown maths whizz Carol Vorderman, 57, responded to a Daily Express online article on Twitter which queried if she is looking for “the one”. In view of her 390,000 followers, she insisted she is single and is “in love” with being alive. She wrote: “In answer to your charming question (and I don't mind you asking) @dailyexpressuk....my answer is NO I'm not looking for ‘the one’. “I’m genuinely having the best time of my life. But I am ‘in love’……with being truly alive.”

Carol’s tweet comes after a fan informed her she was the reason his marriage is “on the rocks”.
The Twitter exchange began when Carol asked her followers for advice on karaoke apps.
She tweeted: “Tweety loveliest happy peeps......What's the best karaoke app?
“I’m rubbish at remembering lyrics but I never stop singing/burbling.....advice needed please.”
A Twitter user named Joe replied: “It’s more fun singing what you think the lyrics are Carol”, which was liked by the TV presenter.
Joe then informed Carol by her liking his tweet, his marriage was now “on the rocks”.
