'It is unfair' #DancingOnIce finalist addresses James Jordan's stint on ITV show

Former contestant on the ITV show Dancing On Ice, Jorgie Porter, 31, has spoken out about former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan, 40, after he received a backlash with some claiming his background gave him an advantage over the other contestants. However, the trained ballet dancer has said she feels it’s “unfair” when people discuss his dance background giving him an upper hand on the programme. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the actress said: “It is unfair when people say that because skating is completely different to dancing. Dance training is the complete opposite. “It's like your a football player and you go play basketball. I think it's unfair that people say because you can play football you can play basketball.

“They’re two completely different things it makes no sense.”

In last week’s episode, James and his skating parter, Alexandra Schauman, 40, topped the leaderboard with an impressive 34 points out of 40.

The former Hollyoaks regular appeared on the ITV series of Dancing On Ice back in 2012, where she was partnered with American skater Matt Evers, 42.

The pair made it to the final of the show and finished in second place behind Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden, 38.
