Jihadi bride Ms Begum, who left the country as a teenager four years ago, last week demanded she be returned back to the UK so she could raise her third child. The 19-year-old said she “could not endure” living in Syria any longer and begged the authorities to let her come home after escaping from ISIS. And now Khalil Yusuf, from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, has urged the authorities to allow Ms Begum to come back to the UK.
He told Express.co.uk: “It should be clear that the ideology of Daesh and similar groups are completely hateful, evil and abhorrent.
“Such groups and ideologies have nothing to do with Islam.
“In this case, it is our view that the UK should permit her to return for the sake of her innocent unborn child.
“We should show our humanity towards that unborn child so that he is not left to suffer the fate of his two siblings who have apparently died of illness or malnutrition.”
