Richard, 49, often joins Good Morning Britain hosts Piers Morgan, 53, and Susanna Reid, 48, to talk all things showbiz but on this morning’s show, the entertainment reporter was missing.
Taking a break from the ITV programme this week, Richard will be replaced by Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, 30, standing in the role for a guest stint.
The replacement comes after Richard Madeley, 62, stepped in to fill in for Piers last week and continues to do so this week with Kate Garraway, 51, keeping the seat warm for Susanna.
Ahead of his guest role on the show, Spencer revealed he was excited to join the team, stepping into Richard’s shoes for the week.
