Highways England has warned drivers to expect delays following an “overturned car from a multi-vehicle collision”. The lanes three and four are still closed after traffic was held for an hour after the 6am crash. Highways England has advised people driving to London to consider changing their route to avoid the M1 southbound. There is also queueing traffic due to people slowing down to look at the accident in the southbound direction around Hemel Hempstead and Rebbourn. Highways England tweeted: “J11A - J11 southbound, short hold of traffic to clear a stranded car in outside lane.
