Cruise lovers with a passion for pop music can get their fix of both in a brand-new programme. Liverpool-Based Mersey Ferries are offering travellers the chance to enjoy a proper knees-up getaway without venturing overseas, in the midst of the changing political landscape courtesy of Brexit. Understandably, one of the music-themed routes, to run across the summer, centres on the town’s boyband heroes, The Beatles. A tribute to the fab four, known for hits such as Help! and Yellow Submarine, will play out on the northern liner.
It will lead the way in a jam-packed event schedule on board, which also includes tribute acts to Eurovision favourites ABBA and pop sensations, The Spice Girls.
The special Evening Cruises will also touch on Motown, Old School and 90s Party sounds.
There’s even a nod to musical theatre, with a rendition of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
A total of 30 such events will run between May and September.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a stress-free break without the need to sort out your suitcase.
