Jeff Hordley, 48, who has starred as Cain Dingle since 2000 in Emmerdale, recently revealed he has an allotment which he tends to with co-star and wife, Zoe Henry, who plays Rhona Goskirk.
During an appearance on Loose Women, the actor spoke about the reasons for having an allotment.
He spilled to the panellists: “It’s great, we’ve done it for years, we have carrots and everything.”
Jeff continued: “It’s good for us to grow it. I have Crohn’s disease so where we’re eating what we grow, it’s better for me.”
Don’t want to scare anybody

Loose Women star Carol McGiffin added: "And you know it doesn’t have any chemicals in it, because you grew it."
Jeff nodded and went on: “What’s really interesting, don’t want to scare anybody, if I had cut the broccoli off and put it in the fridge, within 3 or 4 days it starts to wilt.
"But if I get an organic one from a supermarket, it will be okay a few weeks later."
Speaking about living with Crohn’s disease, he divulged: “It’s an inflammatory bowel disease. I’ve had it since I was 23.
When quizzed whether he avoids certain food, he replied: “Yeah, I’ve listened to my body over the years.
“I know what’s good for me and
